Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Oil Cleansing Creme Duo – Review

I joined #Influenster a little over a month ago and finally am reviewing the first box I received! It came with two Bumble and Bumble products – the Hairdresser’s Oil Cleasning Creme Duo, and the Invisible Oil from the same line.

My hair is so finicky, y’all. One day it’s silky and easy to manage, then other days it’s stringy and dry and awful to work with. I’ve been looking for a product that I can use for washes during the week because I still haven’t quite figured out how to sleep on my hair and not ruin it…

The first couple times I tried the Oil Cleansing Creme Duo with the Invisible Oil, as suggested on the packaging knowing that my hair doesn’t like most oils. After washing with the Oil Cleansing Creme Duo, my hair felt great so I was really excited to get out the shower and use the oil for conditioner as instructed. Yeah…that didn’t work. The oil made my hair stringy and useless, no matter what styling products I used. I was disappointed and quit using the products for awhile.

Then one night I slept on my hair without anything protecting it and woke up to a massive, frizzy, tangled mess. I didn’t want to spend the time detangling, but I knew I needed to shampoo because my scalp was oily af. I decided to try the Cleansing Duo without the oil as conditioner, instead swapping that out for the Shea Moisture Makufa Honey masque, which WORKED WONDERS. My hair was soft, easy to detangle, and moisturized. Add a little styling butter from Carol’s Daughter and some curling jelly from Ass I Am, and my curls were the happiest I had seen them in weeks!

Needless to say, I would’ve passed this product up in stores because being a curly girl means trying your best not to waste money on products you’re not confident in – but I’m glad I got the chance to try this one (for free, thanks to Influenster), and will probably be purchasing it again in the future 🙂 IMG_20170603_152101958
